Anyone who is willing to go to Vietnam can now apply for a visa from Bengaluru too. This is a recent development as per an announcement made by VFS Global. The year 2015 saw in the month of March the establishment of visa application centers in Channai and Hyderabad for the states Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Karnataka has recently joined this group with the center being established in Bengaluru.

Motive behind this move!

The establishment of the visa application center for Vietnam in various cities of India is an attempt to further improve the existing relation between India and Vietnam. Karnataka is the forth state in southern India to have the visa application center. Tran Quang Tuyen, Minister - Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of the SR of Vietnam to India, believes that this move will improve multiple aspects of the bilateral relations that include the trade, tourism, investment and traditional bond that exist between the countries.

Centers open all over India

Tran Quang Tuyen wishes not only to maintain but also to improve this cordial relationship between the countries by providing easy access to the visa with low cost and decreased amount of time in application. This, they hope will motivate more people to apply. The other states in our country that facilitate visa application to Vietnam from this year onwards include West Bengal, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab and Haryana.

Vinay Malhotra who is serving as the COO of South Asia at VFS Global is also of the same opinion as Mr. Tran Quang Tuyen, that the move can improve the various dimensions of the relationship shared by Vietnam and India.
