To address the scarcity of workers, New Zealand will put efforts to attract thousands of migrant workers. It will especially appeal to construction workers in the UK. This is in order to deliver the largest ever housing and infrastructure program of the nation.

It has been revealed that New Zealand has a high demand for qualified construction workers and builders. This has led to the unification of the building sector in the nation. They are now targeting the immigrant workers overseas in the construction sector. A drive to hire 65 000 immigrant workers has been launched in an unprecedented way.

The Construction sector in New Zealand is attempting to attract the foreign workers, especially in the UK. Brexit ambiguity and the attraction of warmer climate is the chief appealing factor for the skilled workers in Ireland and the UK. The sentiment in the UK construction industry is still low. Nevertheless, it has recovered slightly from a downturn in September.

A consortium of private firms, local bodies, and government organizations will be launching a campaign.
